Lurlene Griffin Hutto Hayden

Lexington - A celebration of life for Lurlene Griffin Hutto Hayden, 95, will be held at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Olympia Cemetery in Columbia, SC.

Ms. Hayden was born to the late Julius and Gena Griffin on June 13, 1924, in Orangeburg, SC and went to be with her Lord and Savior August 9, 2019. 

Ms. Hayden was a loyal Church of God member. She held many jobs over her life.  To name a few, she worked at the candy factory; Olympia Mills; joint owner of Hutto’s Grocery, and always a homemaker.

Surviving are a son, David A. Hutto, Sr. (Patsy) of West Columbia; daughters, Carolyn Ricky Chrzastek of AL, Audrey L. Hall (Mike) of West Columbia; brother, Lonnie Griffin of Pelion; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 25 great great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by husbands, B.D. Hutto and Mondeen Hayden, and daughter, Ann Hutto.
