Lura Burton Fisher

Lexington- Funeral Service for Lura Burton Fisher, 82, formerly of Honea Path and Ware Shoals will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

 Mrs. Fisher passed away Monday, September 16, 2019. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Mason W. and Martha T. Burton. She was a member of Women’s VFW, Broadmouth Baptist Church in Honea Path where she was a VBS teacher, and retired from textile.

  Surviving include her son, James Ricky (Natalie) Bagwell, of Mobile, AL; daughter, Tammy Bagwell Cook; 3 grandchildren, Beth B. Martin, Christy Bagwell, and Will Cook; and 4 great-grandchildren.

  She was predeceased by brother, James “Spud” Burton and sister, Linda Faye Gaines.
