Lt. Col. Retired Jay Merrick Butler

Lexington-Memorial services for Lt. Col. Retired Jay Merrick Butler, 81, will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. Entombment will follow with Full Military Honors. The family will receive friends following the service.

  Born in Washington, DC, he was a son of the late Julian Merrick and Ann Marie Feenan Butler. He was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and retired from The US Air Force

  Surviving include his wife, Cathryn C. Butler, sons, Brett Butler (Sigrid), Jason Butler (Ann), daughters, Tara Butler, Amanda McVay (Steve), brother, Dale Butler, grandchildren, Brittany Anson, Christopher Butler, Patrick Butler, Daniel Butler, Margaret Butler, Caitlin McVay, Sean McVay, Declan McVay and Daniel McVay, great-grandchildren, Laila Butler and Braydon Anson.
