Lewis Stanley Gable

Lewis S. Gable, 77, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 10, 2018. Born September 28, 1940 in Lexington, SC, he was the son of the late Wilbur W. and Macy Shull Gable.

A graduate of Lexington High School, he served his country proudly in the US Navy aboard the USS Wasp Aircraft Carrier.

He retired from both Delta Airlines and Lexington School District One. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and a huge USC Gamecocks sports fan. He was an active member of Union Lutheran Church of Leesville and the Lutheran Men in Mission.

He is loved and will be missed by his daughters; Marjorie Gable Saville of Pineridge and Kim Gable Jolly of Lexington, his sister; Nancy Rebecca "Becky" Saville of Chapin, a grandson; Gable D. Jolly, and friends of the heart; Deana, Kenny, and Caroline Keisler. He is survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brothers; W. Herman Gable, Wyman B. Gable, and Henry D. "Butch" Gable.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 13, 2018 from 4-6 p.m. at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Union Lutheran Church in Leesville with burial to follow at Zion Lutheran Church in Lexington. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Union Lutheran Church.
