A celebration of life for “L.B.” James Edward Bonner, Jr., 30, will be held 11 am, Monday, August 6, 2018, at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Burial will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm at the funeral home.
Born November 19, 1987 in Lexington, SC, he was a son to Buddy and Karen Bonner and an honorary son to “Ma 2” and “Dad 2”.
L.B. was loved by many and often known as a “Teddy Bear”. He had an extremely large heart which earned him many supporters and a large fan base. L.B. had a great sense of humor and was a known jokester. L.B. was a great cook and master griller. He was a man of many talents; he went to school to become a heavy equipment operator, worked as a flooring estimator, an auctioneer, and a bouncer.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; sisters Angela (Stephen) Lown, Tera (Allen) Shumaker, Jessie (Michael) Jumper; girlfriend Destiny Honeycutt; nieces and nephews Chelsea (Dustin) Bovin, Taylor (Steven) Flowers, Danielle Lown, Kayla Lown, Colin Jumper, Grace Jumper, Trey Shumaker; honorary siblings Wendy Baker, Alice Geddings, Donnie Smith, Jackson Bonner; great nieces Maci and Madi; great nephews Logan and Ayden; along with other cousins; extended family; Andrew Sherpinskas, Russell Cushman; and numerous friends. L.B. was preceded in death by his “Ma 2”, aunt Dora Smith; uncles David and Gerald Bonner; and his best friend Bunky Smith.
