Lexington-Kenneth Brady Long, 81, died April 19, 2019 in Lexington, SC. Ken was born October 9, 1937, in Greenville, SC, and was the son of the late Donald Long and Maggie Wolfe Long. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Gail Strock Long of Lexington; children Cynthia Long Edmonds (Karry) of Boiling Springs, SC, and Kenneth Brady Long, Jr., (Kelly) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; and grandchildren Emily Elaine Edmonds, Campbell Brady Long, and Jacob McQuade Long. In addition to his parents, Ken was predeceased by siblings Joe Long, Houston Long and Linda Long Taylor. His surviving siblings are Lois Long Justice (Bill) of Greenville, SC, Shirley Long Arnold of Taylors, SC, and Judy Long Wyatt (Doug) of Simpsonville, SC.
Ken was a longtime employee and Vice President of Computer Records. He was also a realtor. Ken was a member of St. James Lutheran Church in Red Bank, SC, as well as a longtime member of Incarnation Lutheran Church in Columbia, SC, where he served in many capacities.
Services will be held in the sanctuary of St. James Lutheran Church in Red Bank, SC on April 26, 2019 at 11:00 am with graveside services immediately following in the St. James cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. James Lutheran Church. After the graveside service, the family looks forward to greeting you in the fellowship hall of the church.
