Joseph "Butch" Kovac

Joseph Michael “Butch” Kovac 54 year old of Lexington, SC Son of the late Patricia Ann Kovac Martin and Howard William Martin.

Surviving are his loving wife, Susan Dennis Kovac, Four children: Lilyann Kovac Sansbury (Ryan), Amanda Danielle Kovac (Chris), Caleb Joseph Kovac (Kayla), Jeremiah Wesley Kovac, Five grandchildren: Sydney Michelle Sansbury, Hailey Laken Sansbury, Elijah Luther Kovac, Emma Grace Kovac, and Sophia Delaine Kovac; sisters Lisa Derock (Jim), Traci Gilden (Jody), Jodi Martinez; brothers Robert “Bobby” Kovac (Teresa), William “Billy” Martin, and Sonny Martin, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Lori Kovac .

He passed away on 05/08/2019 at 4:20am peacefully and comfortably in his home.

He won the victorious battle over liver cancer.

He attended the School of Hard Knocks, was a Master brick mason, and Jack of all trades. You broke it, he fixed it. He loved his dog, KoKo, riding his “sleigh” (Harley) and cleaning up old junk.

He loved his “adopted” kids, Kayla Schatz and Logan Erwin, they were like his children and best friends all in one.

He never met a stranger and was loved by everyone that he came in contact with. He was the light in every room and the laughter at every party.

Butch will be missed dearly, Fly high our sweet angel.
