Johnny L. Beverly, III, 26, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017. Born March 27, 1991, in Ann Arbor, MI, he was a son of Johnny L. Beverly, Jr., and Carol H. Morant.
Trey played college basketball at Lamar Community College in Lamar, CO and Lenor-Rhyne University, where he received a Bachelor's in Marketing and Sales. He was a mentor to his friends, teammates, and siblings. Trey was a positive role model and overall, a great guy. He coached summer camps at University of Texas and mentored their youth. Trey had a love of motorcycles and shared that with others through his YouTube channel, Johnny Jixxr. Above all, Trey loved his family, especially his siblings; he was a dynamic big brother.
He is survived by his father Johnny L. Beverly, Jr.; mother Carol H. Morant (John Philip); girlfriend Mynesha Phifer; brothers Graysen Morant, Kaisen Beverly; sisters Darian Beverly, Riley Morant; grandmother Myrtis O. Horgrow; grandfathers Johnny L. Beverly, Sr., and Carl Saddler; numerous aunts, uncles, and a slew of cousins, teammates; dogs Lolo and Baker. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Flora Saddler; and grandfather Robert L. Horgrow.
A memorial service for Trey will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. The family will greet friends following the service.
