Please accept my condolences during this time of distress. While it is indeed sad that you are mourning the loss of your dear John, it saddens God more. In the days ahead, you will reflect on seemingly small, yet precious memories. This happens when we experience the loss of someone loved. However, take comfort in knowing that just as you have memories, almighty God remembers too. The difference is, God can and will restore perfect life to those in His memory as explained in the faith strengthening video *

Thanks for sharing your warm message and this video link. Death is something that robs. God is loving and certainly no robber. Thank you for posting this message with the attached video link. It explains what God will do some day.

What a sad time. My heart goes out to you Kim and James and Georgia. John was as fine a Christian and a man as I have ever known. Over the years we spent hours working together but I most of all just enjoyed being his friend. He had a unigue gift of judgement when it came to dealing with people from all walks of life. And he loved his family his church and his LORD. My sincere condolences to you all.

Boy, what a guy! Over the past couple days I realized how often I think of "Gorse", especially during football season. He would have been ecstatic last Saturday during the Gamecock's victory over Mizzou. I admired John for many reasons- His love of family and friends, his great sense of humor and his loyalty. Gorse was a southerner to the core who just happened to be born in Indiana. His destiny was to leave the cold north, head south, meet the love of his life, Susy, and enjoy the bounty of life. John will be missed.

Mr. Gorsage...my Best Friends Daddy. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing....but being a Christian, I know I will see him again. I hope it brings comfort to all of the family to know that He is now with Jesus and there is no other place better. I know he will be missed and for the physical body he has given me, my heart aches for Suzi, Kim, Kelly, Johnny, and all the grandchildren. Know that you all are loved and cared about not only during this storm, but always. And that you shall see him again. ❤️❤️

Susie and family,
Although we did not cross paths often enough after our days playing basketball at USC,whenever we did we always felt a kindred spirit from John's contagious smile and encouraging words. God's word promises us we will see him again. Until then, we will continue to pray for his loved ones in the days ahead.
