Jasper Allen Parnell

Lexington-Jasper Allen Parnell 70, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019. He was born November 24, 1949 in Norfolk, VA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton Parnell Sr. and Eva Lee Lamons, brother Kenneth Lamons, and daughter Angela Arjona. He is survived by his brother Clinton Parnell, Jr. (Rachel), sisters Joyce Sawyer (Ray), Jeannie Barber (Jimmy), daughter Tammy Knutson, and son Larry Parnell (Katrina), including his close friend Katherine Ross and seven grandchildren along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mr. Parnell is an Army veteran of the Vietnam War where he earned several medals. He was discharged with full honors in 1973. After his military service he became an  ASE automotive technician. Not only was he a NASCAR fan, but he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and watching classic movies.

A graveside military service will be held at Fort Jackson National Cemetery on Wednesday, December 11 at 11 a.m.
