Leesville-Services for James Elmore Eargle, 80, will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church with Rev. Joe Woodward officiating. Burial with Fireman Rites will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Lutheran Church 1220 Cedar Grove Rd B-L, SC 29070 or Circle Fire Dept 3321 Columbia Hwy. B-L, SC 29070. Mr. Eargle passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019. Born in Saluda Co., son of the late Henry Adam and Satcher Derrick Eargle. He was a member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church and a former member of the US Army National Guard. Mr. Eargle worked at Imperial Casket Co. for 29 years and retired from Derrick Plumbing. He was a charter member of the Circle Volunteer Fire Department, serving in numerous capacities, with 37 years of service and retired as Captain.
Surviving include his sons, Mike (Sharon) Eargle and Kenneth (Velvet) Eargle; and 2 grandchildren, Parker and Hunter Eargle.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rosalie Bouknight Eargle and sisters, Lois Hallman and Mary Louise Talbert.
