Henry A. Sawyer, Jr.

Henry A. Sawyer, Jr., 77, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018. Born September 14, 1941 in Salley, SC, he was a son of the late Henry A. Sawyer, Sr. and Terue Tompkins Sawyer.

An avid golf fan, who watched every tournament, Mr. Sawyer also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating. Mr. Sawyer loved to dance; especially shagging. Above all, he loved his family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and dance.

He is survived by his longtime companion Judy Warczyglowa; son Henry “Todd” Sawyer (Kelly); daughter Ashley Sawyer Stallings (Jay); grandchildren Eleese Marie Sawyer, John Lewis Stallings, III “Trey”, William “Will” Sawyer Stallings; sister Barbara Kinard, and Frieda Sawyer.

A memorial service for Mr. Sawyer will be held 2 p.m., Friday, December 14, 2018 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. The family will greet friends following the service.
