Gordon P. Sheldon

Services for Gordon Phillip Sheldon, 89, will be conducted 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Friday at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery with the Rev. Pam Turfa officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pittsburgh South Hills Elks Lodge 2213, 2789 South Park Road, Bethel Park PA 15102.  Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sheldon passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018.  Born in Grand Rapids, MI, he was the son of the late Garnett George and Edith Belle Mascho Sheldon.  He was an Army Veteran of Korea and retired from Cooper Power Tools with 45 years of service.  He was a member of the South Carolina Studebaker Drivers Club, Inc., Life Member of Lake Murray VFW Post 6740, American Legion Charles A. Conklin Post #28 (Grand Haven, MI) and St. Marks Lutheran Church. 

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Ann Sheldon; daughter, Loni Ann Franz (Donald) of Pittsburgh, PA; sons, Thomas Edward Sheldon of Batesburg, Timothy Mack Sheldon (Susan) of Lexington, Todd Michael Sheldon (Wendy) of Lexington, and Troy Evan Sheldon of Batesburg; 6 grandsons, 4 granddaughters, and 7 great-grandchildren.  He was predeceased by sisters, Betty J. Spoelma (Robert), Mary Metzler (Fred), Lorita G. Herrick (Donald), and Bonnie Umlor (Arthur).
