Lexington-Mrs. Bailey passed away Tuesday August 7, 2018 at the age of 95. Born May 8, 1923 in Chapin SC. She was the daughter of the late Henry O. and Birdie N. Clark. Mrs. Bailey was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Wilbur G “Bill” Bailey, daughter Gayle Padgett (Larry), and granddaughter Blair B. Bearden (Britt). Survived by her two daughters, Sandra Simons (Laverne), Sheila Barrier (Bob), 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Del Hammond, Cherry Ann Lorick; brothers, Dewey Clark, Henry Clark Jr. and Kenneth V. Clark. She was predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy Black, Janie Meetze, and brothers, Lewis, Bobby and Ray. There was a private Memorial Service for Georgia Mae Bailey at Barr-Price Funeral Home followed by a private interment in the family plot at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers those wishing to honor her in life can make donations in memory of Georgie Mae Bailey to the Building Fund at Red Bank United Methodist Church (2909 Old Barnwell Rd, Lexington, SC 29073)
