Elroy Arthur “Butch” Broehm
Elroy Arthur Broehm “Butch”, 72, was born March 6, 1946 to the late Mr. Elroy T. Broehm and Mrs. Ruby Mertens Broehm of Kiel, Wisconsin. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 17, 2019.
Mr. Broehm attended the University of Wisconsin and Silver Lake College of The Holy Family. He was an educator in Lexington and Richland Counties and served in the United States Army.
Butch enjoyed wood working, gardening, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an assistant Sunday School Teacher at Trinity Baptist Church in Cayce SC and a volunteer at the VA Hospital in Columbia SC.
Mr. Broehm loved the Lord and he set an example for all that knew him.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Kelly Broehm of Cayce; daughters, Kelly Blanks (Ben), Prosperity SC, Kim Broehm, Lexington SC, Tiffany Broehm, Charleston SC, Ava Berry, Lexington SC and Dr. Cory Broehm, New Mexico; sister, Sandra Broehm Howerton (Aaron), Crandon, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Boyce and Sarah Evelyn Blanks, Prosperity SC, numerous nieces and nephews, and Chance, man’s best friend.
Memorial services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 20, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church with burial at a later date. Visitation will be 1:30 until 3:00 before the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
