Elizabeth Lucas Hare

Elizabeth “Lib” Lucas Hare passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 16th, 2018. She was the daughter of the late George and Tarzie Lucas. She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Remo B. Hare; son Donald R. Hare and wife Doris; grandchildren Donald R. Hare Jr. and wife Nichol, Delaine H. Britton and husband, Lanie; greatgrandchildren Emily and Addison Hare and Mack, Caroline and Graham Britton; stepgreat grandchildren Ashley and Meredith DeHaai; step-great great grandchild, Aaron Mitchell; sister Lottie L. Gregg, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Marie Smith and brothers Dewey, Lloyd, Eugie and DJ Lucas.

Lib retired as an Avon District Manager. She enjoyed spending time with her family, helping those in need and feeding the neighborhood cats and dogs. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and will be greatly missed.

She was a member of Platt Springs Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Platt Springs Methodist Church, 3215 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC, 29170 or a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 18th at Platt Springs Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m. with funeral service following at 2:00. Interment will follow at Southland Memorial Gardens.
