Edward L. Williams Jr., 58, of 804 Dibble St. Bowman, passed away Monday, July 31st, 2017 at Lexington Medical Center of a brief battle with cancer.
Williams was born May 4th, 1959 in Orangeburg County. He was the son of the late Edward L. Williams Sr. and Janice S. Williams. His loving daughter Stacy Williams precedes him in death.
Ed retired after 34 years at Carolina Bridge Company. His favorite hobby was drag racing, where he was known as “The Weasel.” He loved the outdoors, cooking, telling stories, and entertaining friends.
He was survived by his loving wife Cindy Williams, his son Edward “Buster” Williams III, his two step sons Trey Herndon (Katie) of Bowman and Wendell Herndon (Wanda) of Branchville, his step daughter Candi Harley of Bowman, his 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, his sisters Sandy Dempsey (Danny) of Orangeburg, Jan Argo of Orangeburg, Dessie Mann of Orangeburg, and Ava Emery of Orangeburg, many special nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog and best friend Larry.
The funeral service will be held at the Bowman First Baptist Church, Main Street Bowman at 11am on Thursday, August 3rd.
