West Columbia-Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Hill, 90, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Fish Hatchery Road Church of God with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Hill was born in Chester, SC to the late Thomas A. and Bertha Bell Hill and passed away Saturday, January 6, 2018. She was a dearly loved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be greatly missed. She loved to cook and was famous for her homemade bread.
Surviving are her son, Daniel (Teresa); daughters, Wanda Baughman (Bill, Sr.), Louise Chavis (Tommy) and Lynn Hill; grandchildren, Kay, Bobby, Callie, Bill Jr., Henry, Valerie, Chris, Robert, Brandon, Rachael, D.J., Matthew and Daniel Paul; 24 great grandchildren; 11 great, great grandchildren; brother, James "Gilbert" Hill and sisters, Gail Swicegood and Laconia Peake (Charles). She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Hill; sons, Vincent, Colie and Rogers and daughter, Dora.
