Donald Homer Lewis, 96, passed away March 2, 2019. Born in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Esther and John B. Lewis, Sr. Surviving are his wife of 71 years, Jackie Lewis; children David M. (Nancy), Steve, Ken (Sue), and Ginny Hendrix (Donald); grandchildren Kelley Groner, Lindsey Markelz, David B. Lewis, and Wilson T. Outlaw, IV; five great-grandchildren; siblings Ethel Metz, Dorothy Holland, and John B. Lewis, Jr.
He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. Then he attended and graduated from Penn State University with a Mechanical Engineering degree. While living in Philadelphia, he was an active member of Holmesburg United Methodist Church. In 1985 he retired from Asea Brown Boveri as an electrical engineer. After retiring, he was able to spend more time golfing, sailing, yard work, and building projects. He enjoyed his summers with Jackie in the house he built in the Pocono Mountains.

Services will be at Deepwood Estates in their chapel on Friday, April 5th at 10:00 Following will be a service at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery at noon.
