David "Dave" Benjamin Khouri

David Benjamin Khouri, age 63, went to be with his Lord and Savior, June 16th, 2018.  Born and raised in Columbia, S.C., David was a builder who dedicated his talents to building churches for God's Kingdom throughout the state of South Carolina.

David served the Lord as a deacon at House of Praise Church.  He was passionate about saving souls through prison ministry visitations.  David became a loving advocate treasuring the orphaned children in the Dominican Republic and Haiti through his church's ministry. 

David spent his free time adoring his grandchildren with his loving wife Betty.  He was honored to have raised two fine young men who came to know him as their father.  David, so very much loved his mother, Daisy and his family.  We will remember him as a servant to others above himself and a friend to all.  He will be missed dearly.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Khouri; sons Dennis Russell (Crystal) and David Russell (Fiancée Christy), grandchildren Jacob, Tyler and Caroline Russell.  Also surviving are his mother, Daisy Khouri, brothers Mike (Terri) Khouri and Joseph (Robin) Khouri of Columbia, sisters Anna Marie (John) Rumsey of Blythewood, S.C., Deborah Horne of Lexington, S.C., Florence (Wade) Goodwyn of Atlanta, Ga. as well as many nieces and nephews.  David was preceded in death by brother George A. Khouri, Jr. and father, George A. Khouri, Sr. 

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, June 19th, 2018, 4pm at Northstar Christian Center, 711 Longtown Rd., Columbia, S.C. 29229, (803-736-9250).  Relatives and friends are welcome to visit with the family immediately following the memorial service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to God's Divine Hand (Haiti) or God's Treasure House (Dominican Republic) mission orphanages, payable to House of Praise, FBO orphan ministries, 1110 Meeting St., West Columbia, S.C. 29169.
