David L Oswalt

Services for David L. Oswalt, 82, will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday at Old Lexington Baptist Church with the Rev. Josh Davison officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christian Ministry Center, 1408 Summerland Hwy., Leesville SC 29070.

Mr. Oswalt passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019.  Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late Claudus Rasp and Carrie Ellen Derrick Oswalt. He was a member of Old Lexington Baptist Church, was an Air Force Veteran and retired from Allied Systems.  

Surviving are his wife, Marie Goodman Oswalt; sons, David and Bryan Oswalt; brothers, Carlon and Douglas Oswalt; sisters, Burnett Goff and Doreen Black; grandchildren, Wyatt, Kody, and Jessica.  He was predeceased by brothers, Henry and Avery Oswalt, sisters, Claudia Swygert, Beatrice Rikard, and Dalice Brooks.
