David R. Osborn

David R. Osborn, age 69, passed away at Agape Hospice House in Columbia, SC on 1/6/19.  Born on August 15, 1949 to Robert and Minnie Osborn in Marion, IN.  He was married for 47 years to Peggy (Mesing) Osborn. Dave & Peggy relocated to Columbia, SC in 1995.  Though family and friends were saddened at their departure, the move proved fortuitous, as Dave received a heart transplant in 2001 as a SC resident which he might not have received as quickly in Indiana.

Dave faithfully attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Ft. Wayne, IN and Mt. Olive in Irmo, SC.  He served on various committees and later trained for and participated in the Stephen Ministry which gave him great joy serving others.  Dave was known for his sense of humor and positive mental attitude (PMA) toward everything in life!

He is survived by his wife, his son, Jonathan (Amy) of Ft. Wayne, IN and daughter, Jodi Osborn of N. Augusta, SC.  Also 6 grandchildren, Alexis, Brandon, Kyle, Cooper, Caden and Caroline, and a sister, Anita Osborn (Tammy) of Westfield, IN.

A memorial service will be held at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Irmo, SC at 1:00 pm on 1/12/19, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service
