Lexington – Cindy Redmond, 58, passed away early Tuesday morning, October 1, 2019. Born in Texas City, TX, she later moved to West Columbia, SC, settled in Sandy Run and recently moved back to Lexington.
Cindy was preceded in death by her stepfather, Walton B. Wood, her mother, Ruby M. Wood and her brother, Randy Glaze. She is survived by her husband, Fletcher Redmond; daughter and Son-in-Law, Allison and Ross Packard; step-daughters, Jessica Redmond (Akeen Barrow) and Ashley Redmond-Hartin; grandchildren, Andrew Hartin and Elliana Barrow; and siblings, Connie Rushton (Jessie) and Donald Glaze (Cheryl).
In Cindy’s lifetime, she was a substitute teacher, full time mother, home school teacher and caretaker of her mother and husband. Her hobbies included reading and studying the Bible, hosting parties and bible studies, praying for people around the world, crocheting gifts for everyone she met and loving on people. She loved her family and friends dearly as well as her animals.
There will be a Celebration of Life service at the Pavilion at Virginia Hylton Park in Lexington, SC on October 13th, 2019 from 2 to 5 PM. Attendees are asked to wear colorful clothing, bring wildflower bouquets if possible, and any crochet gifts that she made to display.
