Brian Andrew Davis, 61 of Leesville, SC went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family after a long fought battle with Melanoma.
Born on March 23, 1957, Brian was an accomplished carpenter, cabinet maker and residential contractor. He established B&B Wood Products in 2001. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a member of Bamberg Hunt Club and competed for many years in the Crappie Master and Southern Crappie Tournament trails. He was a good friend to many with a heart of gold for those in need. His love for the Lord was evident in the way he shared his faith in Jesus Christ. One of Brian’s final wishes was for all of his family and friends to come to know the Lord, Jesus Christ, as their personal savior so he could be certain everyone he loved would be reunited in Heaven when their time came to leave this earthly home.
Brian is survived by his loving wife of almost 36 years, Glenda Davis; His children: Carrie (Billy) Shaw, Melanie (Dave) Rimes, Billy (Amy) Jowers and Bret (Tiffany) Davis; 12 grand-daughters, Bailey, Carleigh, Ruthann, Shannon, Daisy, Kate, Roxy, Alexa, Linlee, Delaney, Ginger and Ella Sue; One Grandson, Cole; one great-grandson, Cameron, many nieces and nephews and his faithful dog, Buster. He is also survived by his brothers: Chuck (Althea) Davis, Mike (Michelle)Davis, Bruce Mead and sister, Janet (Bobby) Phillips and his step-mother, Elaine Long. Brian has now reunited with his father, John Davis; mother Sue Davis; and his dear nephews, Johnny Davis and Jesse Davis. Brian will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. The family will receive friends Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6-8pm, at Barr- Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, August 11, 2018, at Calvary Chapel in Lexington with burial in the family cemetery to follow. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 12 pm, noon. In lieu of flowers, the family requests potted plants to landscape the family cemetery.
