Bobbie Ray Weed, Sr.

Bobbie Ray Weed, Sr., 89, went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2018. He was born on June 22, 1929 to A. F. and Lottie A. Weed. Mr. Weed is survived by his wife of 68 years Rachel Waits Weed, daughters, Susan Wright (Eddie), Ramona Smith (Tim), son, Bobbie Ray Weed, Jr. (Dena), 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister, Loretta “Tootsie” Mielke (Hermie) and a lot of special nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by daughter, Eva Miller Elliott, 2 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers and 5 sisters.

He was proud to have served 3 years in the US Army-Air Force during WW II. He retired after many years as a mechanic. For many years “Pa Weed” was devoted and loved maintaining the church grounds and building of Suber-Marshall Memorial United Methodist Church.

Services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday January 8, 2019 at Suber-Marshall Memorial United Methodist Church 3900 Live Oak Street, Columbia, SC 29205. Visitation will be 1 hour before service.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Suber-Marshall Memorial United Methodist Church
