Betty Carol Helms Hinson, 79, passed away Monday, May 15, 2017. She was born January 27, 1938 in Lancaster, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late William Carl Helms and Allie Elizabeth Pardue Helms. After working for South Carolina National Bank for many years, she retired as a Vice-President from Republic National Bank. Ms. Hinson is survived by her children Lori J. Fowler (Dennis), Toni Hinson Sandel and William Gregg Hinson (Tami). Her grandchildren Erin Gravino Jeffords (Todd), Katherine Amanda Sandel, Cali Tyler Sandel, Jackson William Hinson and Landon Ronald Hinson and great grandchildren William Fraley Jeffords and Allie Todd Jeffords. She was predeceased by her brothers Carl Lytle Helms and William Charles Helms.
Ms. Hinson loved spending time with family, and had a giving spirit.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday May 24, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 - 7:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
The family would like to thank all those with Agape Hospice that aided Ms. Hinson during the last years of her illness, especially Mandy Garron and Malisa Alewine who compassionately cared for her the past four years.
