Art Spires

Bryan Art Spires, 59, of Lexington, SC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 4, 2019. He died after a short battle with a rare and aggressive form of spine cancer.

He was born on December 22, 1959 to Homer John and Jeannette Lucas Spires of West Columbia.  Art graduated from Airport High School and Midlands Technical College. He enjoyed his career as a computer technician serving Computer Sciences Corporation for 26 years as well as the Department of Public Safety and Capgemini. Art will be remembered for his gentle spirit, caring heart, willingness to help others, and faith in God.

He is survived by his faithful wife, Tracy Horton Spires; his two daughters Rebecca Spires and Amanda Isbell (Barrett); his grandchild, Kaiden Isbell; brothers Randy Spires (Kathy) and Dean Spires (Nancy).

The funeral service will be held at Northside Baptist Church on June 6, 2019 at 4pm.

Friends are welcome to speak to the family one hour prior to the service. The family is grateful to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Palmetto Richland Hospital for their loving care of Art.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to Northside Baptist Church Missions Program.
