Alma Moody Birchmore

Alma Moody Birchmore, 86, of Cayce passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018.  Funeral Services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at West Columbia First Church of the Nazarene with burial to follow in Southland Memorial Gardens.  Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel.

Mrs. Birchmore was born in West Columbia to the late Rabon K. and Daisy Bell Kyzer Moody.  She was a life long member of West Columbia First Church of the Nazarene who loved the Lord and Southern Gospel music.  She was a devoted wife, mother and “Nanny” as well as an avid Braves baseball fan.

Surviving are her daughters, Beverly Knight, Miranda Birchmore and Vanda Jennings (Tony); grandchildren, David Jennings, Jr.(Meagan) and Brittney Weed (Chris); great grandchildren, Shanda Jennings, Brooke LaForce, Wyatt LaForce, Taylon Weed and another great grandchild on the way; brother, Bert Moody and sister, Sybil Griffin.

She was predeceased by her husband, E.J. Birchmore and brothers, Kenny and Raymond “Bubba” Moody.
