Lucille Chaney Fertick

Lucille Chaney Fertick went to be with her Lord on April 12, 2024. She was 98 years old. She was the widow of Clayton W. Fertick and daughter of Dan and Leila Watts Chaney. Lucille is survived by her sons, Danis C. "Danny" Fertick (Libby, now deceased) of West Columbia, John Larry Fertick (Tom Tillery) of Charleston and Charles Stephen Fertick of West Columbia; and sisters, Jessie Ruth Gibson and Katie Wannamaker. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Toni Chewning (Chip); grandson, Danis C. Fertick II (Dawn); great-granddaughter, Emilee Chandler (Andrew); great-grandsons, Dillon Chewning (Laurin), Clayton Fertick (Morgan) and Mason Chewning; great-great-granddaughter, Bennett Grace Chewning; and a great-great-grandson, Miles Todd Fertick, to be welcomed in May.

Lucille was predeceased by her husband; parents; sisters, Lessie Hallman (M.F. Hallman), Juanita Corley (Archie Lee Corley) and Mary Louise Lee (Charles “Randy” Lee); and one brother, Tillman Chaney.

Funeral services will be held at Grace Chapel, 663 Dixiana Road, West Columbia, SC 29172, on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The service will be conducted by Pastor James Jones and Pastor Brian Lee.
