Funeral services for Linda Dianne Roland Bodie, 75, will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2024 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel with the Rev. Noble Miller and the Rev. Debbie Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Batesburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Mrs. Bodie passed away Thursday, April 11, 2024. Born in Batesburg, she was the daughter of the late John Blanton and Viola Senterfeit Roland. She was an English teacher for over 30 years retiring from Strom Thurmond High School and was a member of St. Alban’s Episcopal Church. Mrs. Bodie was also a Graduate of the University of South Carolina and an avid Gamecock fan.

Survivors include her sister-in-law, Gale S. Roland; nieces, Lisa Langford Shealy, Janna H. Collins, Teena H. White; her beloved dachshund Zach and her Little Creek community.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Edward H. Bodie, Jr.; brother, John Larry Roland and a sister, Janice Roland Harsey.
