Broadus O. Taylor

Funeral service for Broadus O. Taylor, 73, will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024 at First Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Mendle Baker officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Calvary Baptist Church, 2320 Cedar Grove Road, Leesville SC 29070. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

Broadus entered his heavenly home on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Born in Gilbert, he was a son of the late Harold “Bill” and Dorothy Jumper Taylor. He was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church where he was an usher, member of the Bible Fellowship Class and Cemetery Committee. He was a former member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacons and as Music Director. Broadus was a career lineman for 36 years with Mid-Carolina Electric before retiring as a Line Supervisor. He also was an Army veteran and served in the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife, Krissie Taylor; daughter, Erica Armstrong (Tim); sons, Mark Sanders, Andrew Seigler (Nataly), Jacob Seigler (Jordan); brother, Harold Taylor (Gloria); sisters, Shirley Snelgrove, Carolyn Swygert; grandchildren, Taylor Armstrong, Thomas Armstrong,  Scarlett Seigler, many aunts, nieces, and nephews.
