Wilton "Sam" Alfred Sharpe

Services for Wilton Alfred "Sam" Sharpe, 83, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday at Harmony Baptist Church of Gaston with the Rev. Phil Reynolds officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:30 until 2:30 pm at the church prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Harmony Baptist Church, 1959 Woodtrail Dr, Gaston, SC. Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.

  Mr.  Sharpe passed away Wednesday October 18, 2017.  Born in Lexington County, he was a son of the late William Alfred and Callie Smith Sharpe.  He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church and was a farmer.

  Surviving are his wife, Sara Williamson Sharpe, brother, Bobby Sharpe (Luette), sisters, Gloria Mack and Barbara Watts (Wilbur), friend and co-worker, Russell Hoffman, and employees, Abel and Bryan.

  He was predeceased by a grandson, Corey Moore and sisters, Margie Smith and Ethel Baughman.

 The family would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers of Mr. Sharpe, Donna Goodwin and Mary Rice.
