Thurmond L. Cromer
Memorial service for Thurmond Leonard Cromer, 86, will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Baptist Church (Aiken Co.) with the Rev. Bill Watkins officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 1721 Old 96 Trail, Batesburg SC 29006. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Cromer passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017. Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late John Andrew and Amzy Mae Rodgers Cromer. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, American Legion #133, was an Army Veteran of Korea, and retired from the Savannah River Plant.
Surviving are his wife, Annie Lou Hallman Cromer; sons, Philip (Teresa) Cromer and Mark (Mary) Cromer; daughters, Sharon (Chuck) Kneece and Debra (Jerry) Fowler; brother, Brunson Luzon Cromer; sister, Jackie Stone; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, John Andrew Cromer, Jr., sisters, Cassie Mae Foley and Miriam Brown.
