Stanley Price Roberts, Sr., 75, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017.
A lifelong resident of Lexington, he was the son of the late James W. (J.W.) Roberts and Melba Price Roberts Warner and was a member of the Army Reserves. He worked with Alltel for 35 years and was a devoted husband, father, uncle and friend, known to his family as "Pop". He never met a stranger and was especially proud of his 1939 9N Ford tractor.
Surviving are his wife, Wanda Pickles Roberts; sons, Stanley Price Roberts, Jr. (Florence), Mark Roberts (Heather); daughters, Susan Renee Smalley (Wayne), Michelle Roberts Hamman (Jeff) and Wendy Roberts (Todd Smith); grandchildren, David (Samantha), Josh, Amber (Lester), Kelly, Chandler, Tillman and Madeline; great grandchildren, Riley, Daniel, Dominic and Buddy; brother, Tommy Roberts. He was predeceased by a son, James Calvin Roberts and a brother, Jimmy Roberts.
Visitation with family and friends will be 1-5:00 p.m., Saturday, October 7, 2017 at the home. Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.
