Samuel P. McKnight

Samuel P. McKnight passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at his daughter’s home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.  Sam was born January 14, 1938 in Georgetown, SC to the late Samuel P. and Clarice McKnight. 

Sam was a member of the Cayce Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.  He was baptized in June of 1973.

He is survived by his former wife, Deanna Hardwick McKnight; his daughter, Maria (Kenny) McKnight Geiger of Lexington, his son, Mark Samuel McKnight of Vieques, PR, and his step-son, Stuart D.  (Angela) McKnight of Aliso Viejo, CA.  He was pre-deceased by his step-daughter, Selena M. Robinson of Wilmington, NC.  He is also survived by four grandchildren, Allison Selena Geiger, Max Harrison Geiger, Brandyn Stuart McKnight and Noah Stuart McKnight.  He is also survived by brothers Francis “Buck” Hendrickson, Billy McKnight, and Wayne McKnight; sisters Linda Haynes, Susan Williamson, and Marilyn Parker.  He was pre-deceased by one brother, Joseph B. McKnight, and one sister, Rebecca Rothenberger.  Sam leaves behind many other family members who will miss him dearly.

A Memorial service will be held Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 4:00 pm at Cayce Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 4560 Hwy 321, Gaston, SC  29053.  The family will receive friends just prior to and following the service at the Kingdom Hall.
