Graveside services for Rev. Robert "Bobby" Gunter, 76, will be held 12:00 Noon Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-7 p.m. at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Bobby passed away November 11, 2017. Born in Aiken, he was the son to the late James and Glen Eve Gunter. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and retired after over 15 years from the SC Vocational Rehabilitation. Rev. Bobby served as minister for 13 years where he served the churches of New Vision Baptist and Serenity Baptist. He also volunteered as Chaplain at Lexington Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Bessie Gunter, daughter, Misty Groves (Brian), step-sons, Bryan and Kenny (Angela) Glance, brother, Jim Gunter (Ellen), sisters, Shelby Gilbert and Eve Crosby (Coy), 7 grandsons, and numerous great-grandchildren.
