Osborne Kieffer “O.K.” Shealy received his angel wings on July 4, 2017, at the age of 84.   Born November 2, 1932, in Saluda County, he was the son of the late Fred A. and Janette Estelle Shealy.                           O.K. never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him.  He will be remembered for his sweet, gentle, generous spirit and his willingness to give the shirt off his back to a stranger.  He was a kind man who cared deeply about others, especially those who were less fortunate.                                                 O.K. kept a positive attitude and always made the best of a bad situation.  He endured 52 years of pain, suffering and countless surgeries, but never complained.  When asked how he felt, he always responded with, “I’m alright.”  He was always there for everyone and more than willing to offer his love, assistance and compassion.                                                                                      O.K. wore many hats during his life and was previously employed by Overnight Trucking Company, N.W. White & Co., and served as manager of the Interstate gas station.  When he was not working, O.K. enjoyed spending time with his family and helping others.  He was a handyman by nature and had the unique ability to fix things - even if they weren’t broken.  He also loved to give travel directions and could easily tell you the best route to get to your destination.  (He actually loved to give many, many routes.)                                                        O.K. is survived by his beloved soul-mate of 58 years Arlene Shealy; son Joey Shealy (Jane); daughters Debra Garner, Diane Eckman (Shane), Sherrie Morey (Tom) and Terri Moorer (Kenny); sister Carolyn Henderson; and grandchildren Janette Yuilla, Serena McPherson, Daryl Shealy, Shanna Shealy, Brittney Corder, Amanda Shealy, Kevin Shealy, Tara Phillips and Mitch Morey.  He also has six great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, and acted as a second father to Kim Eaddy.   He is predeceased by son Larry Shealy (Vickie), sister Naomi Shirey (Rufus) and brother Sloan Shealy (Adelle).                        The family will receive family and friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Barr-Price Funeral Home in Lexington.   Family will gather for a private memorial and burial.
