Mildred Aileen Joyner

Funeral Services for Mildred Joyner, 96, will be held 2 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2018 at Oakwood Baptist Church with a visitation 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Celestial Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oakwood Baptist Church or a charity of your choice.

Mrs. Joyner passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2018. Born in Waco, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Ola Putman Grigg. She was a founding member of Oakwood Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, William "Morris" Joyner (Sylvia), daughters, Myrtis Grant (Gene) and Jean Turner (Clint), and numerous grandchildren great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph W. Joyner, and daughter, Phyllis Barrett.

The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregiver, Esther Schmale, for her loving care.
