Mary Elizabeth Strayer

Funeral Services for Mary Elizabeth Strayer, 77, will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2017 at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday, May 25 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Strayer passed away May 23, 2017. Born in Bennettsville, she was the daughter of the late William James and Juanita Coxe Thomas. She was a devoted mother and grandmother that loved life, her children, and grandchildren. She had a beautiful smile and an infectious laugh. She will be missed dearly. Go Gamecocks!!!

She is survived by her sons, Thomas 'Tommy' Edward, Jr., (Judy) and William 'Billy' Samuel (Wanda), daughters, Rebecca 'Becky' Ellen Gipe (Russell) and Katherine 'Kathy' Susanne Dukes (Dan), brother, James Edward Thomas (Mary), and grandchildren, Thomas, Trey, Eric, Patric, Drew, Wesley, Danielle, David, and Logan.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Thomas Edward Strayer, Sr.
