Lula S. Derrick

Leesville-Services for Lula Smith Derrick, 94, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Rehoboth UMC with burial to follow in Ridge Crest Memorial Park.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is assisting the family.  Memorials may be made to Rehoboth UMC, 936 Holley Ferry Road Leesville, SC  29070.

  Mrs. Derrick passed away Saturday October 21, 2017.  Born at Leesville, she was a daughter of the late Hessey L. and Blannie Gillian Smith, was a member of Rehoboth UMC and was a homemaker.

  Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jean Parker (David), son, Harold W. "Butch" Derrick, son-in-law, John Gibson, brothers, Herman and Perry Lee "Bill" Smith, granddaughter, Renee Abrams (Scott), great grandchildren, Cade, Meredith and Spencer Abrams.

  She was predeceased by her husband, Simon H. Derrick and a daughter, Shirley Gibson.
