Services for Larry Gene Thornton, 75, will be held 10:00am Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium Lexington Chapel. Burial will follow in Fort Jackson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 6-8pm at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.
Mr. Thornton passed away Sunday, August 20, 2017. Born in Winnsboro, SC, he was the son of the late Earl Hubert Thornton and Louise Foxworth Slavic. He was a graduate of Eau Claire High School, class of 1959.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Carolyn Wimberly Thornton; sons, Wayne Thornton (Kimberly) and Barry Thornton (Rachel); daughters, Angela Keith (Richard) and Sharon Graiger (Jerry); sister, Dianne Griffin (Jack), 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and beloved fur baby "Happy".
He was a loving and loyal husband, daddy, brother, granddaddy, uncle, cousin and friend.
