Jack Eugene Nettles

Funeral Services for Jack Eugene Nettles, 84, will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Brookland United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Gibson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brookland UMC.

Mr. Nettles passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018. Born in Jasper County, he was the son of the late William Henry and Maude Dean Nettles. He was a member of Brookland UMC, the Methodist Men and the Wesleyan Sunday School Class. He was a US Navy Korean Veteran, retired from US Naval Seabee Reserves, and was a member of the Veterans of Lexington. Mr. Nettles was also a Die Hard Clemson Fan.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Sox Nettles, son, Jason Nettles (Laura), daughters, Angie Jackson (Tony) and Beth Altenberg (John), sisters, Elaine Deggler and Vera Miles, grandchildren, Lauren, Morgan, Forrest, Zack, Ethan, Zane, Madelyn, and Seth, great-grandchildren, Roman and Caroline.

He was predeceased by a brother and two sisters.
