Gilbert---Services for Howard D. "Buddy" Posey, Jr., 78, will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday at Pond Branch United Methodist Church with the Rev. Linda Dunn officiating.  Burial will follow in  the church cemetery.  Visitation will be from 12:30 until 2:00 pm at the church.  Memorials may be made to Pond Branch UMC Scholarship Fund, 1913 Pond Branch Road Gilbert, SC  29054.  Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, is assisting the family.

Mr. Posey passed away Friday September 15, 2017.  Born in West Columbia, he was a son of the late Dorothy Epting and Howard D. Posey, Sr.  He was a member of Pond Branch UMC, the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the National Rifle Assoc.  Mr. Posey was the owner and operator of Lexington Printing Co. for 36 years, was a Master Gun Smith, and was an Army National Guard Veteran.

  Survivors include his wife, Andrea "Angie" Frye Posey, daughters, Kathy Posey Warren (Eric), and Dondee Harmon Lewis (Dennis), son, Jody E. Harmon, brother, James "Jimmy" Posey, sisters, Dorothy Jane Posey Smith and Lisa Hornsby Moore (Leonard), 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
