Harry W. Oberlies

Harry Oberlies passed away March 17 at the CM Tucker Nursing Home in Columbia SC at the age of 83.

Harry is survived by his wife Cynthia, three children, Scott Oberlies (Barbara), Diana Wingard, and Wade Oberlies; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother,  Don (Sally); nieces and nephews.  

Harry served in Korea during the Korean War and subsequently retired from the Air Force National Guard.  Harry retired as Assistant Director of Engineering from the South Carolina Department of Corrections.

Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2018 at Ft. Jackson National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Harry's honor to the Wounded Warrior Project.
