George Belk

Services for George Redwine Belk, 91, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday December 14 at Cedar Grove Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Wertz officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cedar Grove Lutheran Church, 1220 Cedar Grove Rd., Leesville, SC 29070.  Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic B-L Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Belk passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017.  Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of the late Crawford and Loma Foard Belk.  He was a member of Cedar Grove Lutheran Church, retired from Southeastern Freight Lines as Safety Director, and was a Navy veteran of WWII. 

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, JoEtta Gantt Belk; daughters, Lynn G. Wade, Laura G. Eck, Sally G. Crapps (Kevy), Cynthia Stone (Mike), Kimberly Belk, Sharon Whitley; son, Richard Belk (Margaret); sister, Cora Lee Carnes; grandchildren, Captain Spencer Eck, Jessica Bryant (Rusty), Laura Ashley Wade, Grant Belk (Chasity), Ashley Powell, Shelby Melton, Sally Kristen Wade, Rachel Stone; great-grandchildren, Gaige Belk, Trinatee Belk, Remington Belk, and Sutton Belk; special caregivers, Maggie Cyrus and Sherri Gantt.
