Elizabeth Lorraine Heise Whiteside

Elizabeth Lorraine Heise Whiteside passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017.  She was born on November 23, 1939 to Marion and Elizabeth Riley Heise, both now deceased.  She was deceased in 2013 by Ken Whiteside, her beloved husband of 55 years.  Lorraine is survived by her children, Erskine and Tonya, Deedee and Carman, Bunny and Bert; Grands, Jim and Jill, Wayne and Melanie, Matthew and Miranda, Keenan, Kayla and Ashley; 9 great-grands; one beloved brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Georgia Heise, whom she dearly loved, three half-sisters, one niece and one nephew. 

Lorraine was an honor graduate of BC High School and Midlands Technical College where she earned a degree in Business Accounting.  She held a degree in Accounting and operated her own tax and accounting services since 1963.  Lorraine was a lifetime member of Mt. Hebron UMC, a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class, the Clyde Hendrix Circle and former treasurer of the Columbia District UMW.  Lorraine was active in and loved her church very much and cherished her many friendships there. 

Memorials may be made in her memory to Mt. Hebron UMC.  Visitation will be held at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel, 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017.  Services will be held  3:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2017 at  Mt. Hebron UMC, 3050 Leaphart Rd., West Columbia, 29170 where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
