Elizabeth "Betty" Cromley Davis, 82, died Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Agape Hospice in Columbia, SC.
Born October 21, 1934, in Saluda, SC, she was the third and youngest daughter of John Spencer Cromley and Eva Earline Quattlebaum.
Betty graduated Saluda High School in 1952, attended Winthrop College for one year, and then married Robert Thomas Davis. For about 25 years, she stayed at home raising four sons and then began a career as activities director for several nursing homes. In her free time she enjoyed working with church youth groups, participating in women's groups at church, and doing volunteer work at various places including Shriner's Hospital for Children in Greenville and Sharing God's Love in Columbia.
She also enjoyed needlework and cooking. She was famous for her Cowboy Cookies.
Surviving are her four sons, Robert Bruce Davis, Alan Spencer Davis, Steven Earl Davis and Michael William Davis; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agape Senior Foundation, 1624 Main St., Columbia, SC 29201.
