Leesville-Graveside service for Dorothy Hunter Shealy, 88, will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark's Memorial Fund, c/o Linda Storey, 3137 Prosperity Hwy, Leesville, SC 29070.
Mrs. Shealy passed away Thursday, August 3, 2017. Born in Newberry County, she was the daughter of the late Allen Calhoun and Lenora Boozer Hunter. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her sons, Roger and Joel Shealy; grandchildren Anastasia Story, Eric Shealy and Erin Shealy. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Lawrence Shealy; daughters-in-law, Gilda Shealy and Kathleen Keating Shealy; sisters, Sadie Barley, Jane Urban, Lillian Rinehart, Rebecca Killian; brothers, Eugene, Harold, Robert (Mack), Allen Jr. and Edward Hunter.
