Graveside services with Masonic Rites for David William Castine, 77, will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 24, 2017 at Olympia Cemetery with the Pastor Jeff O'Dell of Cross Point Church officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Barr-Price Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's or Shriners Hospital.
Mr. Castine passed away March 20, 2017. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late Elbert and Mildredge Berry Castine. He retired as a Fire Marshal at the University of South Carolina. He was a member of the Pacific Lodge 325 and a member of the Son's of the Confederate Veterans. Dave was an avid Gamecock fan and loved living at Lake Murray and enjoyed boating with his many friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Castine, daughter, Davida Livingston (Kenny), son, Michael Castine (Patty), step-son, Bennie Brawley (Karen), brothers, Toby and Rusty Castine, sister, Jeri Migliorisi, grandchildren, Ashley Thompson, Analee Bannister, Angela, Courtney, Michelle, and Sydney Castine, and 6 great-grandchildren.
He was pre-deceased by a son, Bill Castine.
