Mrs. Donaldeen J. Perrich, age 92, passed into eternity on June 16, 2017 after a short illness.
She was born to Irene Edith Quertermous Arthurs and Ward Hyland Arthurs in South Bend IN on Nov. 13, 1924. The family moved to San Bernardino CA in 1928, where she graduated from San Bernardino HS in 1942. She graduated from Mercy College of Nursing in San Diego in 1946. On Dec. 26 1947, she married her high school sweetheart, Robert J. Perrich. They were married 50 years until his death in 1997.
She supported her Marine Corp husband and raised her family throughout the US and in Naples, Italy as duty called and worked as an ob/gyn nurse in many towns and cities.
She was active in church and in Gideon’s Auxiliary in WA after they retired from active military service.
She had a lifelong interest in family, books, and animals, and travelled extensively to experience animals in the wild. She was an avid reader, especially of books about animals and famous people.
Surviving are her daughter, Kathy of Irmo, son, David of Pensacola FL, son, Jerry of Dayton, OH and 5 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Lexington Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Donny's honor to Gideons International or Pawmetto Lifeline.
